 Three new samsung Bada 2.0 phones announced:

three new smartphones — samsung Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y announced, which will run the new bada 2.0 operating system. 

Samsung Wave 3:
 The new Samsung Wave III or Wave 3 will feature a 4 inch Super Amoled display with WVGA (480x800) pixel resolution support. Under the 9.9 mm slim full metallic design, the Wave 3 houses a 1.4 Ghz processor. In terms of screen size and processor, the Wave 3 supersedes the Wave II handset. Samsung has added more horsepower on Wave 3 so it can run the Bada 2.0 OS
Samsung Wave M:
 Samsung's new branding symbols are applicable to Wave series as well and here M stands for 'magical' that promises decent performance at an economical price. It is basically a mid-range feature phone.
New Wave M comes with 3.65 inch TFT LCD display with HVGA (480x320) support. Packing a 832 Mhz processor to run Bada 2.0, this handset too will come with Chat On instant messaging service.
Samsung Wave Y:
 Aimed at the Youth (Y) segment, the new Wave Y flaunts 3.2 inch TFT LCD display with HVGA (480x320) pixel resolution. Under the metallic chassis lies the 832 Mhz processor and runs Bada 2.0 along with the new Chat On instant messaging service from Samsung. Featuring 2 megapixel camera with LED Flash, this 'low-end' handset still comes with Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi Direct, WiFi, micro USB 2.0 and 150 MB onboard memory. 

Samsung launched Bada 2.0 SDK: 

Korean mobile phones manufacturing company Samsung launched the SDK (Software Development Kit) of the second iteration of its mobile operating system Bada.

According to the official announcement, Bada 2.0 includes multitasking, HTML5, WiFi Direct, NFC support, voice recognition, and a new advertising engine with in-app adverts. The addition of HTML5 and improved Flash functions will provide smooth experience to users while handling with web applications including Flash.
The Bada 2.0 SDK is now available for download to Bada developers, the new additions in the platform made it lot easier and time saving for the developers to create new scalable applications with JavaScript support, push notifications, multitasking, and in-app adverts.

Samsung to launch 11 feature phones:

Most feature phones to be launched will be upgrades of already successful products like Samsung Guru, Corby and Star. They will come in flip, slider, twist and touchscreen categories.

Samsung, which recently launched Galaxy SII, is all set to strengthen its feature phone portfolio in India with 11 new feature phones that it plans to launch in the following two months.
Talking to the The Mobile Indian, Asim Warsi, director of marketing, mobile business, Samsung, said, "We will be launching 11 new feature phones based on Java and BREW, in the next 11 weeks, to strengthen our feature phone portfolio in India."
He added, "Most feature phones that will be launched will be upgrades of existing successful products like Samsung Guru, Corby and Star."
He didn't reveal prices but said the handsets will have smartphone-like features and that they will be affordable.
On the design of the handset, Warsi said, "The new feature phones will come in flip, slider, twist and touchscreen categories."
Feature phones are basically mid range mobile phones. The difference is that they have more computing abilities than basic phones do though they have fewer features in comparison.
They are enhanced for messaging services including SMS, MMS, mobile email, and mobile IM. These devices have Qwerty keyboards and other capabilities, and are more affordable than smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 now available through Flipkart:

Not too long ago, Flipkart made the Samsung Galaxy Pop and Nokia C5-03 mobile phones available for pre-order. The online retailer has sought to expand their range of offerings by launching Samsung’s Android-powered smartphone dubbed Galaxy Ace S5830 for Indian consumers.

The online retailer promises to ship the device within three business days.

 

Samsung Wave II: Korean telecom gear maker Samsung launched another mobile phone from the Wave series -the Wave II- in the Indian market and offers it at a MRP of Rs 20,990.

                                            

Though the phone was available in select stores in the capital for last few days, Samsung officially announced its launch on Thursday.
Like most of Samsung's high-end phones, this Wave II uses Samsung's proprietary Bada operating system. Wave II is a 3G phone and features a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED Flash. On processing front, the device seems to be powerful enough as it runs on a 1 GHz ARM Cortex processor and comes with a decently large display at 3.7 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 resolution.
Among other features, the Wave II is equipped with A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and stereo FM.

Samsung announced four new Galaxy smartphones

there were announced four new Galaxy smartphones by Korean tech giant Samsung in its home country South Korea. All four newly showcased devices are all touch phone with downgraded Samsung Galaxy S series handset features, the face eventually turning the devices into budget handsets for mobile phone users from mid-segment who want to taste the benefits of Samsung’s flagship touch Android phone Galaxy S, and at the same time, don’t want to tax their no so deep pockets too much.  The handset named Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Gio, Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini are all running over Android 2.2 OS with them also being powered by 800 MHz processor except Galaxy Mini with the handset featuring 600 MHz CPU. Samsung will be showcasing all the latest Galaxy series handsets in upcoming Mobile World Congress with the event being scheduled to held in Barcelona from Feb 14th to Feb 17th, 2011.

Meanwhile, talking of further specs of the handsets then Galaxy Ace, and Galaxy Fit feature 3.3 inch display, and 5 MP camera, with Galaxy Fit CPU additionally being also powered with 3D acceleration as well.  Galaxy Mini, and Galaxy Gio has 3.2 inch display with Gio to have 3 MP built in camera.  It appears that there is not available any info about built in camera of Galaxy Mini. Compared to specs of the latest released Galaxy series handsets, a Galaxy S handset Samsung Vibrant with device being available in US over T-mobile, features 4.0 inch Super AMOLED screen, Android 2.2 OS, 5 MP camera with 4x zoom, 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor, 3D sound, 720p HD video recording, and up to 32 GB expandable memory.
