G’Five Android Tablet expected at starting price of Rs. 10,000

G’Five the second largest mobile phone supplier in India after Nokia according to IDC is all set to launch its reasonable, entry level Android based tablet. G'Five, a Chinese mobile handset maker, plans to launch this Android based tablet PC in India next month onwards.

It is belived that device will run on VIA processors in the range of 600-800 MHz. This android based tablet comes with a 7inch wide touchscreen and has an Android 2.1 OS. The choice of 2.1 version when 2.2 is already in market with handsets from Indian makers like Micromax, Spice, is a question arising in every mind.

The expected price of G'Five Tablet could be in range of Rs. 10,000-15,000 in order to make the tablet competitive in the market. Other companies offering with such a price range are HCL offering at a price of Rs. 14,900, whereas Olive available with a new version 2.2 is available at a price of Rs. 19,000.

The company is big plans for expansion in India. It has opened 10 exclusive stores under the brand name of Mobispot and is planning to launch 500 such stores across the country, including 20 in Delhi. Jaideep Chopra, vice president, G’Five, said, “We will be launching 500 Mobispot stores across the country. We will focus not just on tier two and tier three but also metro cities with 20 stores in Delhi alone. These stores will sell only G’Five products including our lineup of mobile phones, tablets and laptops.”

With a reasonable price range expected for the device to be competitive in the market will only attract buyers who either have a limited price range or don’t want spend much to a product like this. Hoping this upcoming tablet to be useful as it is pocket friendly.
